A 32-YEAR-OLD woman in a polygamous marriage stunned a Bulawayo court on Monday after bragging that she drenched the junior wife in dog waste after she was caught inducing an abortion.

Sukoluhle Moyo of West Acre, on the outskirts of Bulawayo, went berserk last weekend after Siphiwe Dube found her inducing an abortion. Moyo mixed water with dog waste and threw it at Dube.
Prosecutor Nomzamo Ndlovu said Moyo and Dube had long standing differences during the time they shared a house, forcing their husband to separate them.
Ndlovu told the court that Moyo went berserk after Dube threatened to expose her for the abortion. Moyo started shouting at Dube early in the morning before she mixing dog waste, which she threw at the junior wife.
Western Commonage provincial magistrate Willard Mafios Moyo slapped her with a six-month jail term after she pleaded guilty to violating Section 89 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act.
Two months of her sentence were suspended on condition of good behaviour and the remainder was set aside on condition she performs 210 hours of community service commencing yesterday.
In her defence, Moyo said she was upset because Dube had insulted her.

“I committed this offence because she had provoked me,” she said.
“I just cannot produce evidence of her insults in court, but the words that she spoke to me were more abusive than my actual act. She went around telling people that I had an abortion which I have no idea of.”
Dube said she never gossiped about Moyo. She said Moyo had poured the same substance on her five-month-year old.
