bibleOn March 20 2015 God gave me a vision concerning our beloved country Zimbabwe. He referred me to Ecclesiastes 12:13 which reads: “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep his commandments for this is the whole duty of man.”

What was very clear from the message was that as a nation, we have drifted from God and pursued our own agendas which have nothing to do with Him.

We have invited the wrath of God. Our biggest challenge is that we believe we are a Christian nation yet we do not live as such.

There are things that God expects from his children and in this regard, it is expected that we walk as children. In the Old Testament, God scattered the children of Israel because they had stopped living according to the commandments of God.

In other words, Israel could not live like the nations that were around them, but had to be guided by the word of God because they had to be different from all the other nations.

Read Deuteronomy 4:1 to 40, Nehemiah 1:8, and Jeremiah 9:13 to 16. There are many verses that confirm this and like I said before, because we have confessed that we are Christians, we must live as such. The calamities that befall us will not affect our neighbours who do not confess the same.

Our sin is that we have transgressed the law of God. Now what God is looking for is a situation which the Ninevites went through as a nation. They agreed to seek the face of God and for three days they fasted and prayed to God in total repentance and they were saved.

Remember, this is the same God we worship today. Bishops, pastors and prophets must bring back the nation to the one and only true God. We must stop our dubious games.

Remember the third commandment — Exodus 20:7 — says: “Thou shalt not take the name of thy Lord thy God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.”

We have really dragged the name of God into all our schemes of money, lust and fame. We read in newspapers and we are ashamed to be called men of God because of the articles that are awash in our media — of men of cloth abusing their positions.

Do we really think God smiles at that. God hates sin. We have taken the grace of God for granted far too long to the extent that our hearts have become insensitive to sin.

Let’s go back to the 10 commandments of God — our standard measure of living. In the 10 commandments is our righteousness enshrined. It is only the 10 commandments that can help us escape from challenges we face.

Hate which results in murder, greed, lust and any other sin will be a thing of the past if we go back to the basics of the commandments of God.

The 10 commandments are based on the character of God. They are the commandments of love. Our God is a God of love and he gave us his character to be our guide as we walk our journey here on earth.

When men of God, politicians and leaders in society are governed by God’s law, their rule over their subjects will be sweet. They will think of their subjects before they make any decisions. Let me take you to the book of 1 John 5:1 to 3 (Amplified version).

It reads: “Everyone who believes (adheres to, trusts, and relies on the fact) that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah) is a born again child of God, and everyone who loves the Father also loves the one born of Him (His offspring).

By this we come to know ( recognise and understand) that we love the children of God. When we love God and obey His commands (orders, charges) when we keep His ordinances and are mindful of His precepts and His teaching.

For the (true) love of God is this that we do His commands (keep His ordinances and are mindful of His precepts and teaching) and these orders of His are not irksome (burdensome, oppressive, or grievous).”

The 10 commandments are for our benefit and joy. This is what God said to me in that open visioning, he wants to heal our land and our economy. Why not try Him. The king of Nineveh did it and his nation was spared.
