Judgment in the assault case involving Kwekwe Central legislator, Masango Matambanadzo was yesterday postponed to next Friday after the magistrate said the ruling was not yet ready.

Matambanadzo and his aide, Burden Mawire, are being charged with assaulting fellow party member, Sabikwa Msipha in Amaveni, Kwekwe, on August 11.
But the duo through their lawyer, Liberty Mashanyare are denying the charges insisting that the complainant is the one who assaulted Mawire, adding Matambaadzo only intervened in a bid to restrain them.
Mashanyare said Mawire acted in self defence as Msipha attacked him.
Allegations are that on August 11 at around 3pm, Msipha was on his way to Amaveni Community Hall to attend a Heroes’ Day function when he passed through Bloodspot Building owned by Matambanadzo.
Msipha walked into Matambanadzo’s office where he found him with Mawire.
