Lawyers representing Impact Trust and Executors, Welshman Ncube and Richard Majwabu, on Thursday accused Antonio of furnishing false information to a State witness, a CID official identified as Fiselani Ndlovu, which he presented as evidence at the Gwanda Magistrates’ Court.

Antonio allegedly told Ndlovu that on the fifth of every month, liquidators are supposed to submit statements of their accounts, which Ncube and Majwabu contested.

During cross-examination, Antonio continued to refer to the Companies Act, which he appeared not to understand, leading Ncube to demand his academic and professional qualifications.

Antonio initially refused to enlighten the court of his qualifications, prompting regional magistrate, Joseph Mabeza to order him to comply.

It emerged that he only holds a diploma in executive office management from a college which he failed to name in court.

Ncube said Antonio was a “dangerous” person running an important office yet he was ignorant of the law and was furnishing the State with wrong information.

“I think we have a problem by dealing with a person like you because we are dealing with someone who is dangerous. You don’t even listen to questions,” he said.

Antonio, who has worked in the master’s office for 18 years, was further reminded by Mabeza that he should not misrepresent facts and quote sections that are not in the Companies Act, as he was under oath.

“You are not here to ask questions and quoting sections that are not there. Please stop wasting time,” Mabeza warned Antonio.

Last week, it was indicated to Mohadi that $199 000 had been unlawfully transferred to his wife Tambudzani’s account.

Impact Trust and Executors (Pvt) official and Nerry Investments liquidator, Barbra Lunga (58), of Burnside in Bulawayo, and Simon Muleya (52) of Eland Road in Beitbridge, are jointly accused of fraudulently changing ownership of Stand 1418 in the border town from Nerry to Redqueen.

Reginald Dawson was forced to liquidate the company together with two others — Spoornet (Pvt) Ltd and Nerry Investments — because of Mohadi’s alleged constant threats. Blessing Gundani prosecuted. The matter was remanded to December 8 for finalisation.
