Rotary president Buhle Francis handed over the books to the institution.

Francis said they were delighted to have partnered with Library Aid International to supply books for the Nust library.

“Today we see the completion of the project, one we can all be proud of and which will ensure library facilities for students in many Bulawayo educational institutions ranging from primary schools to tertiary institution,” she said.

Rotarians and Nust thanked Francis for initiating the project and transporting the consignment from Birine in Australia to Bulawayo.

Nust acting vice-chancellor Sam Sibanda said the books would assist in the teaching of STEM subjects.

“We would like to thank the Rotary Club for choosing us. We are grateful and we thank them for their support,” he said.

Sibanda expressed the hope that the Rotary Club of Bulawayo South would continue to identify areas in which Nust needed assistance.

Rotary Club of Bulawayo South has previously supported the institution and Catholic University with materials and provided visiting professors on a vocational trauma training centre programme.
