AFTER going for a break with a 1-0 win over Motor Action in Beitbridge on June 1, troubled Tripple B will be hoping to upstage fellow strugglers Black Rhinos when the two sides lock horns in a Premiership match at Rimuka Stadium in Kadoma today.

Tripple B, the second club to part ways with a coach after going through a lean spell, have managed a paltry 10 points from 13 games with only three victories, a draw and nine defeats and sit at the basement of the log table.

Peter Manoti, who took over from Friday Phiri at the country’s most travelled club this season, said they were ready for the soldiers, saying the break came in handy for them to work on their shortcomings.

“We are hoping to pick up from where we left just before the break. We also had enough time to work on our weaknesses and injuries and so we have a healthy squad. We are approaching this match knowing that we need to collect maximum points,” Manoti said.

Some of the players at the border town side are Timire Mamvura, Edmore Chafungamoyo, Givemore Fireyi, Sikhumbulani Dube, Philip Makanje and Alick Marime, among others.

They are without Webster Chingodza due to suspension.

From Kadoma, Tripple B will return to Beitbridge where they will host troubled soldiers Buffaloes.

Rhinos have only picked up 12 points and are second from the bottom on the log standings.

They were the first team to fire a coach this season, relieving Nesbert Saruchera of his duties with Arthur Tutani taking over.

Rhinos are coming from a 1-0 defeat to Highlanders in a charity match last Sunday at Barbourfields and after that match, Tutani said he was impressed with the team that he is building for the future.

Brian Muzondiwa, who replaced Marshal Mudewe on Sunday, displayed brilliant touches on the right flank for the side which also had Wonder Kapinda, Lot Chiwunga and Brighton Mugoni.

Chandisaita and Lazarus Muhoni missed the game against Highlanders due to injury.
