A MAN from Pumula South who was sometime early this year given an order never to threaten to harm an Entumbane resident but breached the order was on Tuesday locked up in remand prison.

REPORT BY SILAS NKALA

Kudakwashe Ncube, whose age is not given in court papers, was not asked to plead to kidnapping threats and breach of terms and conditions of the protection order given to him when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate, Takundwa Witness Mtetwa.

The magistrate remanded him in custody to July 2 for trial after the State opposed his bail application. The court heard that sometime in September 7 last year, Ncube was brought to court to answer charges of making dangerous threats to an Entumane woman, Samukeliso Jiyane over an undisclosed issue.

The magistrate issued a protection order compelling Ncube to never make any threats to Jiyane.

The court heard that following the protection order, on June 14 this year at 6.36am Ncube was at Jiyane’s home in Entumbane.

He threatened to kidnap her and make sure that she disappears forever.

No details are disclosed over why Ncube made those threats.

Jiyane made a report to the police leading to Ncube’s arrest.
