NRZ spokesperson Fanuel Masikati yesterday said the public transporter was geared to ferry travellers during holidays and had added additional coaches to meet the increased demand.

“We therefore urge travellers to book and buy their tickets early on the day of travel,” he said. “Travellers may wish to also know that there is a daily passenger train service from Bulawayo to Victoria Falls and back.

“This service is very popular with tourist travellers and other people who intend to visit the holiday resort, which is well known for its amazing and magnificent tourist attractions.” Masikati said NRZ had relaunched its website, www.nrz.co.zw, which is aimed at providing a platform to interact and communicate with its stakeholders.

NRZ is currently struggling to meet its operational demands, with employees complaining that they have not been paid for the past eight months.
