FORMER Warriors left-back Onismor Bhasera has found a new home at South African Absa Premier League side Bidvest Wits. According to Soccer Laduma, the Zimbabwean started training with the club last week as coach Gavin Hunt was on the lookout for another left-back following the departure of James Mayinga. The club is busy finalising the paperwork and the 27-year-old is expected to put pen to paper today and complete the deal.

Bhasera spent three years in England with League Two side Plymouth Argyle — where he was named the club’s Player of the Year in the 2012-2013 season.

Bhasera is also expected to take up a spot as one of the five foreign players for the season, with Hunt having already revealed his admiration for the player.

“Definitely, I am definitely going to sign him. He has shown excellent performance at training and he is fitting well in the team.

“He is left-sided player we need. He is looking very good and we need him,” Hunt said. Bhasera joins four other Zimbabweans; former Warriors captain Benjani Mwaruwari, defender Thomas Sweswe, gritty midfielder Tinashe Nengomasha and current Soccer Star of the Year, Denver Mukamba, at the same club.
