Magosvongwe playing off 18 handicap, posted a gross score of 89 for a net score of 71 in the competition that featured 29 players. On second spot was Wilfred Chinembiri playing off handicap 17 posting a gross score of 89 to get a net score of 72 while Moses Nzapu claimed the third spot playing off handicap 16.

Nzapu got a gross score of 90 securing a net of 74 in the process. Acey Zerf was the gross winner in the competition. The Bulawayo Country Club golfer Zerf, playing off handicap nine, posted a gross score of 85.

She got a net score of 76 followed by Kwangwari Kwangwari playing off the same handicap. Kwangwari got a net score of 77 recording a gross score of 86 in the competition.

Matabeleland Golf Association president Mufaro Chivonivoni got the nearest to pin on hole number three while football legend Ebson “Sugar” Muguyo won the nearest pin on hole number seven.

Clemence Sibanda and Macwell Mudonhi won the nearest pins on holes number 11 and 15 respectively. Chivonivoni was back again claiming another prize for getting the longest drive in the men’s section while Lorraine Huwa won the longest drive in the women’s category.

The Mbada Golf Society 2012-2013 competition played in April was won by Joseph Mushaka. Mushaka won the Mbada Golf Society competition which ran over 17 games after coming on top of the Mbada Golf Society Final Order of Merit.

The defending champion featured in the competition alongside golfers including Margaret Vera, Brian Sanangurai, Shepherd Huni and Tawu Paguwa.
