ZANU PF has crushed rival MDC-T in three by elections at Kusile Rural District Council Ward 5, Ward 4 Kadoma Municipality and Mutasa Rural District Council Ward 30 held on Wednesday.

The elections were a result of candidates from Zanu PF and MDC-T receiving an equal number of votes in the July 31 polls in the three wards.

In Ward 5 in Kusile RDC, Zanu PF candidate Soneni Tshuma polled 646 against MDC-T’s Ubunene Ncube who got 221.

The victory means Zanu PF now has 20 seats against the MDC-T’s eight.

A total of 12 spoilt ballots were recorded, while 879 people voted.

In Kadoma, Godfrey Mavura of Zanu PF got 523 votes, while Fastmore Mandipota of MDC-T polled 212.

The MDC-T’s annihilation was completed in Mutasa RDC Ward 30, where the party’s candidate, Elias Kembo, polled 399 against Zanu PF’s William Ketero, who received 732 votes.
