EIGHT women and five men to represent the Bulawayo provincial pool team in the national Carling Black Label tournament this weekend started training on Tuesday.

For the first time Bulawayo will host the tournament that will be held at Raylton Recreational Club.
Peter Dziko, the provincial team coach, said preparations were under way.
“We started training at Raylton yesterday (Tuesday). The morale is high because this is the first time this tournament will be held in Bulawayo. The players are confident,” Dziko said.
The women’s provincial champion, Shylet Musonho, said she was confident and optimistic that the women’s team would retain the title.
Musonho of Extreme will lead Shumba Bar’s Sithembiso Dube, Nomalanga Dusart, Gillgower Robyns and Lucy Mpofu to seek glory for the province.
Gershom Nash of Kings will lead teammate Evans Dube, Terrence Mhindu of Entumbane, Joseph Tamamikwa and Khumbula Maradona (Gold and Black), Hudson Dube (TelOne), Shamu McDonald (Nkulumane) and Necodemus Charandura in the tourney.
