Getaneh Kebede scored in the dying minutes as Bidvest Wits salvaged a 1-1 draw against AmaZulu in Johannesburg on Tuesday evening.

Usuthu had led through Nkosinathi Mthiyane’s second half goal after being set up by Ayanda Dlamini, However, with the match heading for a draw, Kapini committed the mother of all blunders as he employed his trademark time-wasting antics.

Kapini’s antics backfired as he lost the ball under his body and with an open net facing him, Kedebe tapped in injury time to break Usuthu hearts.

Team mate defender Carlington Nyadombo played the entire match while Benjani Mwaruwari had to be substituted in the second half.

Denver Mukamba and Tinashe Nengomasha did not play a part in the match.

But Zimbabwean international striker Cuthbert Malajila now on the books of Sundowns after joining from Maritzburg United at the beginning of the season, netted 10 minutes from time as the Brazilians came from behind to draw 2-2 against Ajax.

It was his second goal of the campaign which puts him among the second leading goalscorers in the Absa PSL with Kaizer Chiefs Bernard Parker one of the leading goalscorers with three goals.

Khama Billiat — another Zimbabwean who also joined the Brazilians at the start of the season from Ajax Cape Town — played a big part in the drawn game and was unlucky not to register his name on the score sheet as he came close on several occasions.

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs were held to a goalless draw by Blomfontein Celtics.
