WISEMEN MULEYA OWN CORESPODENT

Salani Moyo (31) pleaded not guilty to poaching charges when he appeared before Beitbridge magistrate Innocent Berupa on Tuesday, but he was remanded in custody to October 10 for continuation of trial.

It is the State case that sometime in December 2012, Moyo was caught by Nguluvhe’s employee Samuel Mbedzi skinning the warthog around 1.15pm at the farm.

Mbedzi left the scene as he was afraid of being attacked by the accused who was already advancing towards him.

A report was made to the police, leading to Moyo’s arrest.

The court valued the warthog at $500.
