Sparrows, yet to lose a league match, have collected a maximum of 57 points in 19 games.

The log leaders turned Highlanders Clubhouse to an abattoir slaughtering Kensington 106-12, beating Sobukhazi 50-20 before downing Zimpost 75-33.

Highlanders Clubhouse is the venue Kensington would like to curse after a heavy lose in the hands of Sparrows before receiving a 47-14 drubbing in the hands of struggling Sobukhazi.

Kensington’s failure to pick up maximum points allowed Sobukhazi who have won only two of their games, to close the gap to three points.

At Sikhulile, Free Stars got the better of Lobengula Queens walking away with maximum points courtesy of a 50-28 victory. Lobengula Queens with 30 points remain on position six while Free Stars jumped to number 10.

In a match played last Thursday at Nguboyenja, Zesa beat Fairbridge 28-19. Zesa are now on position five with 37 points, two behind fourth-placed Railstars while Fairbridge remain on position seven on 27 points.

Second-placed Jumbo Queens allowed Sparrows to open a gap of 14 points after sharing spoils with Zesa. The teams settled for a 40-40 draw, recording the first draw of the season.
