The last time new Chicken Inn coach Joey Antipas was in the border town, he left clutching thin air as his former side, the now relegated Motor Action, lost 1-0.

But he was not worried about his previous ill-fated visit to the border town though anticipating a tough outing.

“Our preparations are going according to plan and I am confident that we will win,” he said.

“It is going to be a tough match for us because we will be playing away from home. They are already relegated so they will not be under any pressure.

“The last time I was in Beitbridge my team lost, but it will be different now because I am no longer coaching the same team,” he said.

Chicken Inn have not lost in the two games he has been in charge, managing a 1-1 draw against Monomotapa in Harare before beating FC Platinum 2-0 at Luveve.

Tripple B coach Peter Manoti insisted that his charges would give their best in the remaining fixtures despite being relegated already. He emphasised the need to build a team for the future.

“We will uphold the basics of fair play in our remaining matches by playing to win all games.

“We will give a chance to some of our youngsters who have not been playing regularly with the view of building a team for life in Division one next season,” Manoti said.

Chicken Inn, five points adrift of a top-four finish, have a chance of landing the top-four spot if they manage to win their remaining matches and hope that other teams above them drop points along the way.
