Though the Extra Kwazvose outfit in a joint show with Young Igwe, Peter Dhewa Moyo, failed to draw a capacity crowd at the big car park at the Midlands Hotel, the crowd was put on its toes until the early hours of Saturday in a show that proved to be a memorable one for revellers.

Songs such as the album title Ndizvo Zviripo, Gurajena, Amai Bhoni and Mudiwa Wangu proved to be popular.

The group’s lead vocalist Franco “Slomo” Dhaka said they would not look back in their quest to break new ground in the Sungura genré.

“We are confident. We are looking ahead and Extra Kwazvose is a force that has begun to be felt in the entertainment industry,” he said soon after the show.

The Young Igwe also proved that he is maturing with every act he stages as fans kept on shouting “Pakanaka Dhewa” every time he performed.

The Young Igwe is currently riding on his debut album Mushonga Mukuru.
