WHO will bag the 2013 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League piece of silverware?

It is all in Harare City’s hands to lose as they take on Caps United at the National Sports Stadium in Harare on Sunday and three points would award them their first-ever title.

Or could Dynamos on 51 points defend the title they have won in the last two years as they take on relegation-threatened Black Mambas on the same day at Rufaro Stadium in Harare?

They are behind City by two points.

Highlanders could also grab it after a seven-year drought as they are in the picture, tied on 51 points with DeMbare and hosting Shabanie Mine — not safe from relegation.

Bosso might be without head coach Kelvin Kaindu at Barbourfields Stadium (BF) in Bulawayo on Sunday as he is expected back in the country tomorrow, but his assistant, Bekithemba “Super” Ndlovu, who suffered an excruciating 0-4 thumping by Harare City last Sunday at Rufaro Stadium, believes the Bulawayo giants might win it by grace of God.

“We have been training very well in the past week and will have our last training session at BF in the afternoon. We are still going there to assess if the ground is okay after the heavy rains. Our chance of winning it is still there. We just have to focus on winning our game and wait for the other results from Harare, but God willing it could be ours. Who knows it might be ‘super’ Sunday? We must finish strongly,” Ndlovu said.

Still out at Highlanders is most improved central defender Dumisani “Fazo” Ndlovu and Super said the doctor will still be assessing anchorman Mthulisi Maphosa, who suffered a knock on his knee.

Save for the two, Ndlovu said all the other players were raring to go.

Highlanders, who have not performed well in their backyard this year, will be banking on Njabulo “Tshiki” Ncube, whose return from suspension last Sunday did not produce any goal in the embarrassing defeat.

Milton Ncube, Bhekimpilo Ncube, Heritein Masuku, Masimba Mambare and the two youngsters Gabriel Nyoni and Ozias Zibande, with inspirational skipper Innocent Mapuranga and enterprising left-back Bruce Kangwa, will all be in.

Shabanie Mine head coach Luke Masomere whose side still faces relegation, said he was coming to Bulawayo for a win albeit with four key players — Tarisai Rukanda, Pervington Zimunya, Caleb Masocha and Valentine Ndaba — being assessed by the team’s doctors.

Masomere called for fair play among all the clubs in the last round of the league saying there was no need to put unnecessary pressure on match officials.

“We always want to blame these guys for nothing because we don’t want to accept defeat. Clubs should not put referees under unnecessary pressure, but let them perform their duties professionally, I have never been robbed by Highlanders or any other club and we must let the referees continue with their duties. They don’t have to be under any pressure. We are going to Bulawayo for a win,” Masomere said.
