Hapadziwi emerged winner getting a gross score of 95 playing off handicap 23 posting a net score of 72 in the process while Linda Rubaya was second after getting a net score of 74.

Rubaya had got a gross of 91 playing off handicap 17 with Mbada Golf Society captain Kwangwari Kwangwari claiming third spot after grossing 84 playing off handicap nine getting a net score of 75.

Kwangwari was also the gross winner posting a score of 84. Wishes Nyoni won the nearest to pin on hole number four while Kim Hongkee won the nearest to pin on number 17.

It was a good day in the greens for Kwangwari as he also won the longest drive in the men’s section while Rubaya won the longest drive in the women’s section.

It was a good result for Hapadziwi as he was one of the golfers who took part in the ninth game of the competition at Bulawayo Golf Club on November 10, but did not win any prize.

Football legend Ebson “Sugar” Muguyo, Wilfred Chinembiri, Acey Zerf, former Bulawayo Basketball Association spokesperson Charles Ndlovu, Crispen Magosvongwe, Alexio Paradzai and Francis Chigwedere, are some of the golfers who took part in Sunday’s competition.

The competition which started in May is expected to run until early next year. Joseph Mushaka is the defending Mbada Golf Society competition champion.
