The Warriors will face Mozambique on December 8 at Barbourfields Stadium (BF) in Bulawayo.

Zifa chief executive officer Jonathan Mashingaidze said they had prepared a busy schedule for the Warriors.

“I can confirm that after the Tanzania match we have organised a match on December 8 at BF and we will play Libya on December 18. After that they will go into camp until early January,” Mashingaidze said.

He said the Warriors preferred Barbourfields Stadium as their home ground and would be playing most of the games in Bulawayo for the next couple of years.

Mashingaidze said they had decided on a long camp because they wanted the senior national team to be counted among the elite when the country takes part in the Chan finals.

“We would want to build firm foundations for the upcoming competitions such as Cosafa in 2014 and Chan. We want to invest in resources so that we are also counted among the elite,” Mashingaidze said.

“The camp will run from December to January and during that time the technical team will work on the players’ physique and also psyche them as they will be competing against players who are bigger in frame than them, so that has to be attended to as well,” he said.

He said they had submitted a budget to the Sport, Arts and Culture ministry and were likely to get feedback this week. Zifa is also set to hold a fundraising dinner at a hotel in Harare and Mashingaidze said they were going to invite the corporate world, sister sports codes, and other stakeholders in a position to support the Warriors.
