The two-day show will run from Friday 7pm to Saturday night.

Three of the biggest city comedians Clive Chigubhu, Babongile Sikhonjwa and Ntando Van Moyo will headline the shows.

Butshilo Nleya the organiser of event and director of Bulawayo Culture Festival told Southern Eye Lifestyle yesterday in an interview that everyone was raring to go.

“It is an opportunity for city comedy lovers, converts, critics and casuals to come and be part of two nights of amazing stand-up acts from Bulawayo for Bulawayo,” Nleya said.

“The three comedians have been touring the country, but this is the first time they are going to perform in the city in this format.”

Nleya added that it’ll a show for people to relax and have fun.

“Patrons will be relaxed while being treated to go comedy, let’s end 2013 differently with a laugh and relaxation,” he said.

“We want to consistently bring world-class events, artists and experiences to the paying and appreciative members of the community.”

The night will also feature budding comedians among them Keith Nkosi, Long John and Marshal the General.

Nleya bemoaned that comedy “has been forgotten and not been receiving support from all angles of the community especially in Bulawayo.

“Comedy in Bulawayo is not being supported as compared to other cities such as Harare; the corporate world is not coming through with a helping hand.

“We feel that we deserve something from these guys so that we develop the arts and relations with the community,” he said.
