Ncube will join Pure Platinum Play at their pre-season camp in Kariba tomorrow.

Yesterday, Southern Eye Sport broke the news that Ncube was on Platinum’s wish-list with club president George Mawere confirming the deal.

The bustling forward’s contract with Bosso expired on December 31 and sources say he signed for $12 000 with the platinum miners.

Ncube yesterday confirmed to Southern Eye Sport that he had inked a deal with the Zvishavane-based club, which has also been home to former Highlanders players Gilbert Banda, brothers Zephaniah and Joel “Josta” Ngodzo and Welcome Ndiweni.

“The truth of the matter is that I have signed for one year with FC Platinum. It is sad that I leave Highlanders, a team that I have at heart, but I had to make some considerations important for me and my family as well. It is with a heavy heart that I leave Bosso. They will always be my team. I will be joining the rest of the FC Platinum players in camp in Kariba on Saturday (tomorrow),” Ncube said.

FC Platinum’s spokesperson Chido Chizondo, however, downplayed the deal and said the Highlanders striker was still on their wish-list and they were in discussions.

“We have not signed him yet. He is on our wish-list and we are speaking to him,” Chizondo said.

However, a source at Highlanders yesterday said Tshiki, although now a free agent, on Wednesday approached the Highlanders executive, sought and was given a clearance letter and bade them farewell.

He scored 13 goals for Highlanders last year after signing a one-year contract from Botswana.

He banged 11 goals in the league and two in the Mbada Diamonds Cup — one in the preliminary round of the tournament against Triangle at Barbourfields and the second in the final when Bosso beat How Mine to win the first piece of silverware since 2011.

Another senior Bosso player Masimba Mambare crossed the floor to Dynamos on Monday, a move that has sparked a lot of debate while Peter “Rio” Moyo, away with the Warriors for the African Nations Championships (Chan), has also been linked to DeMbare.

Milton Ncube, who has been linked with a move to Dynamos, is in South Africa and had his contract with the Bulawayo football giants expiring on December 31.

However, some of the senior players whose contracts expired are training with the club. Highlanders are expected to sign Charles Sibanda when he returns from South Africa.

Bosso have already signed Ndiweni, Valentine Ndaba and Khumbulani Banda.
