HIGHLANDERS have retained highly-rated goalkeeper Munyaradzi Diya on a season’s loan with the gloveman eyeing a move to South Africa next season.

Diya was instrumental in Highlanders’ winning of the Mbada Diamonds Cup in which he scored a goal and has had trials with Golden Arrows of South Africa.
But the move cannot be completed now as Arrows have exhausted their foreign quota and the goalkeeper is with the Warriors at the African Nations Championship finals in South Africa.
Bosso club secretary Andrew Tapela confirmed the players’ movements during yesterday’s annual general meeting saying they had already signed five players and were targeting five more.
“I can confirm that we signed Khumbulani Banda for two years, Welcome Ndiweni for two years, Njabulo Nyoni also two years, Joel Ngodzo for one year and Valentine Ndaba for two years. We have five more players that we are looking at, but because we are still to wrap up discussions with them, we cannot release their names,” he said.
Tapela also confirmed that Diya had signed a one-year contract with them.
“We have secured contracts with all our senior players with Erick (Mudzingwa) signing for two years, Fazo (Dumisani Ndlovu) and Bruce Kangwa signing for two years each. I can also confirm that Munyaradzi Diya has signed for one year,” he said.
