Kaindu has been in his native country Zambia where he attended the Caf A Licencing course and England where he was attending another Uefa B Licencing coach. The Bosso executive believes the courses will go a long way in improving Highlanders performance as they take aim for the league title which has been elusive over the years..

A reliable source yesterday told Southern Eye Sport that Kaindu left Zambia yesterday morning and would arrive in the country late in the evening.

“He has left Zambia. He actually left in the morning and will be in Zimbabwe by evening. By now he could have crossed the border into Victoria Falls. He is travelling by road,” the source said.

Both his Zambian and local mobile numbers were not reachable.

Highlanders’ chairman Peter Dube on Sunday confirmed to the club’s annual general meeting that the Zambian gaffer would be back today.

“I can tell you he will be here on Tuesday from gaining knowledge that will assist the club. What he has been learning is powerful and will not only improve him, but he rejoins the team to improve it as well,” Dube said.

Kaindu will have two weeks to prepare the team for the first match of the year, the CG Msipa Charity semi-final against Chapungu at Ascot Stadium on February 8, before they play Harare City the following week in the Bob 90 Super Cup.

Dube also took time to clarify former assistant coach Bekithemba “Super” Ndlovu’s presence at the club. Ndlovu’s contract and that of goalkeepers’ coach Tembo Chuma were not renewed. Chuma has since joined new PSL boys ZPC Kariba.

Ndlovu has been part of the team’s preseason preparations and was with the team that returned from a training camp at Heath Streak’s safari farm in Inyathi on Sunday.

Sources have said Kaindu had hoped to retain Ndlovu who is believed to have been left with the blueprint of the preseason training.

“He (Ndlovu) will have finished his handover at the end of the month. Once in a while he will assist at the club and people should not be surprised when they see him because he will always be a Bosso son,” Dube said.

Ndlovu was replaced by Mark Mathe while Peter “Oxo” Nkomo took over from Chuma.

Ndlovu, Mathe, Nkomo, fitness trainer Majaha Ndlovu, welfare manager Willard Mashinkila-Khumalo and team doctor Loyal Nyika led the 21-member squad at the training camp in Inyathi that included two Canadians — Phillippe Barriault and Jean-Felix Lemieux — who are on attachment at Bosso and new signings Joel “Josta” Ngodzo, Valentine Ndaba, Khumbulani Banda, Welcome Ndiweni and goalkeeper Njabulo Nyoni.

Bosso is expected to be joined by goalkeeper Munyaradzi Diya, Peter “Rio” Moyo and Milton Ncube, who are with the Warriors for the African Nations Championship tournament in South Africa. The trio will be back in the country on February 2 as they have reached the semi-finals of the competition.

Even if they lose to Libya tomorrow, they will still play in the third place play-off.
