Taelo Ndlovu (37) of Mapani and Victor Mamombe (31) of Zezani II under Chief Sitaudze, together with Oscar Moyo — who has already been convicted — allegedly connived to steal four heifers from Benson Moyo’s Plot II Mavimba and drove them Tshotshi where they rebranded the beasts with their own brand marks and ear tags.

Ndlovu allegedly branded two heifers with his brand mark Y2 and put ear tags inscribed with his name while Moyo branded the third heifer with his father’s brand mark FRK and gave the other heifer to Mamombe.

The matter came to light on January 17 this year when two heifers returned to Moyo’s plot on their own with Ndlovu’s brand mark and ear tag. Moyo reported the matter to the policed, leading to the arrest of the two.
