Zhuwawo has been training with Chicken Inn, home to another former AmaZulu player Mkhokheli Dube.

Chicken Inn secretary Tavengwa Hara could not be drawn to reveal figures or the length of Zhuwawo’s contract.

“We have signed him and he is now a Chicken Inn player. I cannot say for how long he will be with us but at Chicken Inn, we have a policy of not signing less than one year contracts,” Hara said.

Chicken Inn are also expected to conclude negotiations with skipper Felix Chindungwe, who is also targetted by city neighbours Highlanders.

The GameCox have already signed Passmore Bernard from Motor Action, Morgan Mungombe and Ishmael Lawe from Monomotapa.

Meanwhile, Dynamos defender Gift Bello has completed a move to ambitious Zvishavane side FC Platinum for an undisclosed amount.

Bello, who is out of contract with the Harare giants, is reported to have joined FC Platinum miners on Friday as a free agent on a two-year deal.

His switch came just a day after the Dynamos executive rubbished reports claiming Bello’s intended move from the Harare giants to Zvishavane.

FC Platinum media liaison officer Chido Chizondo confirmed the club’s interest in the defender, but played down speculation that they had grabbed the 2013 soccer star of the year finalist.

“All I can say for now is that we are interested in him and we have opened communication with him.

Negotiations are still underway and as soon as we agree on anything or should we fail to agree we will make a statement. For now nothing has materialised yet,” she said.

But Southern Eye Sport has it on good authority that Bello signed a two-year deal with the Zvishavane side on Friday and has not been training with Dynamos since Wednesday.

Highly placed sources at FC Platinum confirmed Bello’s move saying the defender will be part of the squad which will face cross town rivals Shabanie Mine in the CG Msipa scholarship fundraising match at Mandava stadium next weekend.

The sources said officials at FC Platinum are not willing to publicly confirm the defender’s switch as they are trying to avoid aggravating the bad relationships that already exist between the club and Dynamos.

FC Platinum coach Lloyd Mutasa who coached Bello at Kiglon before bringing him to Dynamos in 2011 is said to have used his huge influence on the player to lure him to the mineral rich town.

The Zvishavane side are also reportedly still interested in suspended Dynamos midfielder Devon Chafa and the capture of Bello heightened  speculation that Chafa might also decide and reunite with Mutasa who also coached him at Kiglon.

FC Platinum have so far signed Njabulo Ncube from Highlanders, Tarisai Rukanda from Shabanie Mine, Steven Sibanda from Buffaloes, Walter Musona and Wisdom Mutasa from Aces Youth Academy among other youngsters that were promoted from the club’s junior ranks.
