The Zimbabwe champions left Harare at around 1030 yesterday and are expected to arrive in Botswana this morning around 3am.

They had initially targeted to leave Harare by 6am and were expected to arrive in Botswana the same day around 11pm for a journey which takes about 14 hours.

“We will overcome fatigue because we have two days to recover,” Murape said shortly before the team’s departure to Botswana on Thursday morning.

“It’s not ideal to travel by road for such a long journey but we don’t want excuses. We will have two days to recover. We will have time to familiarise ourselves with the match venue. We are aware Mochudi Centre Chiefs will be playing at home and will be seeking to reverse things.

“We need to attack and defend as a team and avoid being complacent. We all saw they are not a bad team. They can cause an upset especially when they are playing at home.

“We want to avoid the situation we found ourselves in the last time we went there. Remember we lost 1-0 to Gaborone United in Botswana after we had led 4-1 in the first leg at home.”
