WITH about two games before the 2013-14 edition of the Mbada Golf Society competition ends, Wishes Nyoni remains the favourite to win this year’s edition as he has the highest points in the Mbada Golf Society Order of Merit to date.

Nyoni has accumulated 87,5 points while defending champion Joseph Mushaka is second with 57,5 points.
Mushaka had been handed the green jacket by former champion Clifford Chimhini after he collected 59,5 points in the competition that ran over 17 games last year.
The competition expected to end later next month continues with another game set for Bulawayo Country Club on Sunday with 32 amateurs expected to take to the greens on the day. Competition captain Kwangwari Kwangwari yesterday told Southern Eye Sport that the game is on this Sunday.
“The Mbada Golf Society competition continues this week. Thirty two golfers have confirmed participation so far. The fairways have been cut and I am sure we will have a good game. Nyoni is the favourite to win this year’s title,” he said.
Kwangwari won the last Mbada Golf Society competition which was played at Harry Allen Golf Club last month. He said he is ready for ready for Sunday’s game.
Kwangwari got a gross score of 81 playing off a handicap of 11 to net 70.
