Musharu took his goals tally to five in the Confederation Cup with a brace in the 5-1 drubbing of St Michel at Barbourfields Stadium last Saturday.

Thembani Masuku, Morris Kadzola and Menard Mupera added a goal each while the visiting side scored through Jocelyn Fenosoa who converted from the spot.

Musharu said How Mine has to defend their lead in order for them to proceed to the next round of the competition.

“We have to defend the goals we scored for us to progress to the next round. We are not worried much about them beating us although we should not concede,” he said.

Musharu, who has been instrumental in the team’s progression from the preliminary round will be one of the key players in the How Mine side.

He scored a brace at Barbourfields Stadium against Chuoni FC in the preliminary round first leg and added another in the return leg in Zanzibar.

“I cannot promise a lot of goals in the Seychelles because our main aim is to defend the lead that we have. We are going to try and score more, but the main aim is to stop them from scoring,” said Musharu.

How Mine will be without three players Edmore Muzanenhamo, Warren Dube and Xolisani Moyo who were injured during training and will not feature in Saturday’s match.

Muzanenhamo received stitches on the lips, Dube suffered a knock on the knee and Moyo sustained a deep cut in his head.

While Musharu wants the team to adopt a defensive approach, his coach Philani “Beefy” Ncube says they want to win the match.

“We are going there to win. Besides those injuries we have no other injuries in the team and the players are raring to go,” he said. How Mine are expected to leave the country today.
