In response to questions from Southern Eye Lifestyle, the group said, the upcoming album Bongo Love would be different from other works they have produced as it fuses Ndebele and Shona in order to appeal to a wider audience.
As an emerging musical force, this dynamic group has fused styles from all over the world, including rhythms from Zimbabwe to create a unique and utterly infectious type of music.
“This album promises to be a remarkable one and we are looking forward to it’s release. It captures the attention of many people as it is multi-cultural,” the group said.
“We have incorporated Ndebele and Shona — the two widely spoken languages in Zimbabwe — as a way to boost our audience.”
The group boasts close to 2 000 followers on the social network Facebook and have travelled to Mozambique, Sweden, and the Dominican Republic, leading to first major tour of the Unites States in 2007.
“We have a female vocalist on board, Claire Dangarembwa, from Nobuntu as a backing vocalist to diversify the sound of our music and we have added a base-guitar played by our drummer Dennis Mashaisha to add more flavour,” the group said.
