De Jongé’s generous contribution was drawn from charitable proceeds generated from last year’s biannual President’s Cup competition, in which he participated as a member of the International team for the first time in his career.

The 34-year-old golfer, who will make his debut at the United States Masters early next month, earned a place in the President’s Cup’s International team as one of Nick Price’s captain’s picks.
