The drama titled EzakoMkhakha (Mkhakha’s family) is a Ndebele drama that explores relationships within families in Bulawayo’s western suburbs. Mlalazi, based in Germany where he is furthering his studies, said he has done all the administrative work with commissioning editors and that by May, the drama would be ready for screening.

“As far as administrative work is concerned, I have done all the modalities. “I am looking forward to recording the drama within the next four weeks as I am currently writing episode nine of the series,” he said.

Mlalazi added that the story line is based on the comic side of family life in the townships and will appeal to almost all ages of TV drama lovers.

“What I can reveal now is that each episode is packed with light hearted humour and I am using all my skills as a creative writer to make sure I don’t disappoint on that,” he added.

Mlalazi has a vast experience in literary and creative writing.

He has co-written a TV drama before with Raisedon Baya titled King’s Kraal and the drama was rated as one of the best in the country during its time.
