THE much-travelled Mokoomba last night kicked off a 10-gig tour of the United Kingdom (UK) with a performance dubbed “Rich Mix”, part of a month-long international tour of Europe.

On the eve of their first performance in the UK, the highly acclaimed Victoria Falls-based ensemble appeared live on Monday on the BBC Focus on Africa programme.
During their appearance on the programme, members of the group looked elated about the tour, waving the Zimbabwean flag. The group has lined up 17 performances on the international tour with 10 of them to be held in UK while the remaining would be shared between Germany and Switzerland.
The tour will end on the first week of May.
In the last couple of years, they have been on the world stage and delighted audiences with their youthful exuberance, musical brilliance and slick dance routines.
Mokoomba’s music sounds modern, but also draws heavily on traditional songs and Tonga rhythms. The members of the group are keen to put their culture on the map. Below is the list of performances that they will stage this year:
