The event initiated by Rotarian former president Abrahim Esat in 2011, will see the winners of the tittles Mr and Miss Professional awarded the opportunity to act as goodwill ambassadors for the Rotaract Club of Belmont.

Zvikomborero Chikore, Rotaract service director, said preparations were underway for the Saturday finals and predicted a successful event.

“The models are very excited. We have taken the models through a series of workshops to sensitise them about Rotaract as well as hone their professional skills.

“Topics that were covered included leadership, communication, personal branding as well as ethics,” Chikore said.

Sixteen female and five male contestants out of 37 made it to the finals.

For the past two weeks the models have been guided by Riccochet Modelling Agency and Diva Model Management who have been responsible for choreography.

Among artistes set to perform on the day are TKP of the popular song Phumilanga, hip-hop artise Lemz, Devon Clark, One Stand Band, Break Equation hip-hop dance crew and Afro-pop sensation Mj.

Miss Professional 2012 was won by Valerie Chingonzo expected to present the crown to the new queen.

Since winning in 2012, her star has continued to rise and shine. She won the title Miss Zim Finalist in 2012 and in 2013 and was crowned queen in the Miss Universities Zimbabwe 2013.

A surprise master of ceremony would share the stage with celebrities Mbo Mahocs and Willis Watafi.
