Dlamini, who has a rich history as far as modelling is concerned, told Southern Eye Lifestyle that there is need for grooming schools in Bulawayo so that people could tap talent of young models.

“It is important to have grooming schools because modelling is not an overnight thing,” she said, adding that those who have the passion for modelling should understand that it is important for them to pass through grooming schools.

Bulawayo has three known people who run grooming schools — Ricky Nathanson, Sarah Mpofu and Sipho Mazibuko.

“I have worked under these people during my days, but what I’m looking at now is to add more into this industry with some of my skills that I gathered when I was in South Africa furthering my career.

“I am also looking forward to work with my mentors because they have done well in this industry.

“As a former model, I have decided to make sure that I complement their efforts as our leaders because soon they will retire from the industry and that will lead to the fall of the industry if there is no proper succession plan or alternative,” she added.

Dlamini’s career spans back to early 2000.

She has won several titles under various pageants. In 2013 she was crowned model of the year during the Fashion Week.
