The visitors could have come out of the Lowveld with nothing, but have goalkeeper Liberty Chirava to thank after he saved a Tineyi Chitora 16th minute penalty.

The Joey Antipas-coached side went ahead in the first half through Tendai Mukambi’s strike while the hosts responded through goalkeeper Ronald Mudimu from the penalty spot in the second half.

The match started on a slow note with both teams weighing each other, Chicken Inn content in seating deep and trying their luck on breakaway attacks.

Triangle head coach Biggie Zuze said: “I think the guys played well against an experienced Chicken Inn side and l am happy with the result although we dropped two points at home. The game turned physical in the second half and we managed to match them.”

Despite the draw, Antipas said he was happy with his team’s performance.
