HIGHLANDERS head coach Kelvin Kaindu, who is in the United Kingdon for the Uefa B Licence badge could miss the top-of-the-table Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) clash against bubbling new boys ZPC Kariba at Gwanzura Stadium on Sunday. FORTUNE MBELE SPORTS REPORTER
Kaindu missed Sunday’s 4-0 thumping of Caps United at Barbourfields Stadium and no guarantees could be made on when he would be returning.
Kaindu left the country last Friday to attend the last session and graduation for the high-profile coaching course.
Club chairman Peter Dube yesterday said Kaindu might be leaving the UK today, but he could not guarantee when he would arrive in the country as that would depend on flights and bookings.
“It is not just the graduation that he is attending, but he is wrapping up his course. We cannot be sure when he will be in the country, but we look forward to him to be there for the game against ZPC Kariba,” he said.
“But that will surely depends on his flights and his bookings. Even if he was to arrive a minute before the game, he is our coach and he will have the input. If we had the money, we would arrange for him to fly directly to Harare.”
Highlanders and ZPC are the only two teams that have remained unbeaten going into round seven of the PSL programme and on Sunday the two sides posted emphatic victories with Bosso humiliating Caps United at Emagumeni, while the Saul Chaminuka-coached outfit crushed Triangle United 5-1 at Gibbo Stadium.
Bosso and ZPC Kariba are square on 12 points with Bosso at the top of the log standings through goal difference, with two other sides gnawing right behind them with 11 points.
