However, Chiefs remained at the top of the log standings with 13 points after second-placed Technosphere were held to a 1-1 draw by Quelaton at the National University of Science and Technology.

With the win, Ntabazinduna, coached by Agent Sawu, have now gone to position six with nine points.

Tsholotsho FC leapt to position two with a 0-0 draw away from home to Elephant FC at Brady Barracks and they are now square on 11 points with Technosphere, but are at the top on a superior goal difference after playing five matches.

ZPC Hwange also rose to position three, dislodging Technosphere with a 2-0 win over neighbours Hwange Juniors.

They also have 11 points in the bag.

In other matches that were played on Saturday New West City dismissed new boys Old Nic Mine 2-0 at the mine and now have seven points while Trumus are now on nine points after they beat Portland Cement 1-0 in Victoria Falls. The Kabwe Warriors and Mpumalanga game was cancelled while Zimbabwe Saints’ match against Black Boots was postponed.

Zimbabwe Saints are yet to clear their arrears with Zifa and they have gone for the third week without kicking a ball.
