Manomano, who is popularly known of his single hit track Bvaru that he composed in support of Shabanie Football Club a couple years ago, has become a drunkard and the six women are reportedly baying for his blood.

His mother Venencia Manomano confirmed the development in an interview with Southern Eye and publicly wept while cursing her son for bringing trouble to the family as pregnant women have eloped to the Manomanos’ residence in Maglas high-density suburb.

“He (Bruce) is a good for nothing son who only knows how to impregnate women before dumping them at my house. He does not even take care of the legal two wives leaving the entire burden on me,” Venencia said.

Bruce, who is the only son in a family of three, said he only knew of four women he impregnated and not six, although he did not deny that he sleeps around with different women in the town due to his popularity.

“I have two wives, Yolanda Gondwe and Sikhumbuzo Nyoni. My other two girlfriends Tatenda and Nomsa have eloped to my parents’ residence in Maglas and that’s why my mother came to humiliate me publicly,” Bruce said.

Bruce added that he was looking for divine intervention as he could not resist sleeping with different types of women.

His first wife Gondwe, who is a bar attendant at FC Platinum Lounge, said life was becoming unbearable as people were now mocking her and she was now seeking a divorce.

“I cannot continue living with such a man who treats women as dogs due to his unquenched sexual appetite. People now call me names due to Bruce’s promiscuity,” Gondwe said.

Nyoni (19), who is two months pregnant, refused to comment and referred all questions to Bruce.

“I cannot speak to the press. If you want to know the whole issue, talk to Bruce,” Nyoni said.

Bruce’s sister, who identified herself as Tendai, said her mother had already managed to chase away four other women who had tried to elope to the Manomano residence.

“My mother chased away four different women who accused my brother of impregnating them and some even made threats of using evil means to fix Bruce,” Tendai said.

Meanwhile, a member of the Zvishavane Aids Network and gender activist Sophia Mativenga castigated Bruce for such behaviour and demanded that action be taken against such men since there was a high likelihood of them spreading HIV and Aids.

“Bruce is a disgrace. There must be laws that deal with such unholy characters considering the fact that Zvishavane district still leads HIV and Aids prevalence statistics (in the Midlands province),” Mativenga said.
