The 68-year—old coach is leading the Notre Dame Men on tour in the country and will be helping out with coaching clinics for Grassroot Soccer founded by his son Tommy Clark and headed in Zimbabwe by co-founder Methembe Ndlovu.

Tommy will arrive in Bulawayo tomorrow afternoon.

On Sunday, they take advantage of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League break to make way for the Warriors’ 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) first round second leg qualifier against Tanzania, to play the local log leaders Highlanders at Barbourfields Stadium.

Before the Bosso friendly match on Sunday, the Americans will take on Zifa Southern Region Division One league pacesetters Plumtree Chiefs tomorrow morning (venue to be announced) before engaging in township and Grassroots Soccer activities in the afternoon after the arrival of Tommy.

On Saturday, the team will be involved in a voluntary counselling and testing tournament in Bulawayo.

After the Bosso match, Notre Dame will play Bantu Rovers on Monday morning (venue to be announced).

On his arrival last week, Bobby, who watched Highlanders beat Harare City in a mid-week league match on Thursday said he is on Grassroots Soccer business, but will also be scouting for talent.

“Last year we went to Sweden. The previous year it was Denmark and the year before it was Brazil, then Scotland, so this year I decided to visit Zimbabwe. I will help out with the clinics at Grassroot Soccer and maybe play a couple of soccer games. We are here for a couple of weeks and we hope that we will play a number of matches with Bantu Rovers and Highlanders. Yes, I will look out for talent, but the person has to be a good student,” said Clark, who is credited for starting the Highlanders junior policy.

Grassroots Soccer is an organisation which uses the power of football to educate, inspire and mobilise communities against the spread of HIV.

The team will also embark on camping programme at the Fifa Football for Hope Centre established by Grassroots Soccer between Gwabalanda (Luveve) and Magwegwe North suburbs.
