AFTER one week’s absence in the Zifa Southern Region Division One league, Tsholotsho FC returned on Saturday to beat new boys Portland Cement 3-0 away from home to close the gap on log leaders Plumtree Chiefs.

Tsholotsho have 17 points with two games in hand, three points behind Chiefs, who salvaged a point from ZPC Hwange in a goalless draw in the coal mining town.
The Thulani Sibanda-coachedPlumtree Chiefs have played nine matches, won six, drawn two and lost one while Tsholotsho have played seven matches and drawn two and are yet to lose a match in the league.
Technosphere bounced back from 2-0 loss to Trumus in Victoria Falls last week to beat New West City 1-0 in Hwange on Saturday and dislodge them from third spot. The Hwange-based side now has 16 points from nine matches, a point behind Tsholotsho while New West City remain on 13 points with eight matches.
The Agent Sawu-coached Ntabazinduna Prison are enjoying a good vein of form and on Saturday beat Old Nic Mine 2-0 at home after last week’s triumph over Mpumalanga in another home game.
Ntabazinduna are on 15 points from eight matches.
Mpumalanga were on the receiving end once more this weekend, hammered 4-0 by police Black Boots at Fairbridge on Saturday while Elephant FC and Quelaton shared the spoils in a goalless draw.
