THE Zimbabwe Volleyball Association (ZVA) inter-provincial championships which were set for Bulawayo at the weekend have been postponed as they coincide with Zimbabwe Tertiary Institutions Sports Union (Zitisu) championships to be held in Gweru.

ZVA administrator Sibangani Mashasha confirmed the postponement of the games to Southern Eye Sport yesterday.
“The Inter-provincial championships that were due to be held in Bulawayo have been postponed because some of the players will be taking part in the Zitisu games in Gweru. We are most likely going to have the inter-provincial championships on the weekend of July 12-13 in Bulawayo,” he said.
“A ZVA board of administration meeting had been scheduled for Saturday in Bulawayo. It has been postponed to the same weekend.”
University of Zimbabwe and Support Unit won the women and men’s category in the competition that was hosted by Harare Province last year.
Football, volleyball, chess and handball are some of the sporting disciplines that are competed for in the Zitisu championships.
