Charles Mushayabvudzi, who resides at the marriage quarters in the barracks, was not asked to plead to the charge of riotous behaviour and disorderly conduct in a public place when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Tawanda Muchemwa.

Muchemwa ruled that the charges had been withdrawn due to lack of evidence.

The State had alleged that on May 7 at around 7pm, Mushayabvudzi was approached by a colleague Lameck Mandaza with the intention of discussing the love affair between their children.

The two failed to agree and allegedly engaged in a fight in public.

A report was made to the police and Mushayabvudzi was arrested.
