THE wife of founding PF Zapu vice-president and Zimbabwe’s first black physician Samuel Parirenyatwa, Elina Khumalo, who died at Parirenyatwa Hospital in Harare on Wednesday will be buried today at Lady Stanley cemetery in Bulawayo.

Khumalo was 85.

Her son David Parirenyatwa (pictured), who is also the Health and Child Care minister, confirmed the burial arrangements yesterday.

“She will be laid to rest at Lady Stanely Cemetery tomorrow (today). A Service will be held in Romney Park (at her residence) and tomorrow (today) the church service will be held at St Margret’s Anglican Church (Northend) at 9:50am before she is taken to her final resting place,” he said.

Khumalo’s family said she suffered from diabetes. She is survived by one son and three daughters Mourners are gathered at 8 Easkins Road, Romney Park.
