Two low-density houses along Prince Street and one in Pappenfus that were being used by human resources manager Sebastian Murango, procurement manager Francis Nunzvi and plant manager Collen Shereni were attached.

Marango confirmed the development saying the houses were attached last week, but declined to reveal more information referring further questions to Zimbabwe Mining Development Corporation public relations manager Priscilla Dube.

“Yes, I confirm that top management’s houses were attached and the three houses were used by me, the plant manager and procurement manager, but more information over the case can be supplied by Dube,” he said.

Dube’s phone continuously rang unanswered.

Sources said apart from the houses, the Deputy Sheriff had also attached compressors, front-end loaders, among other heavy mine equipment, as the war with creditors continues.

Sabi Mine workers’ committee chairperson David Chiroirombo said workers were now in a panic mode as more houses were likely to be attached.

“Mine employees are in panic over the increasing uncertainty of their future at Sabi,” he said.
