Dube, who will be in South Africa for a week, will miss the Sunday derby against How Mine at Barbourfields Stadium. Club chief executive officer Ndumiso Gumede confirmed the striker’s departure.

“He left for South Africa by road this afternoon (yesterday) for a one-week trial stint with Witbank Spurs,” Gumede said.

Dube came in as a substitute for Knox Mutizwa in the 67th minute against Bantu Rovers on Sunday. He joined Highlanders from ZPC Hwange at the beginning of last season and was loaned to Division One side Plumtree Chiefs (then Bulawayo Chiefs) mid-season before returning to the Bulawayo giants at the start of the 2014 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season.
