According to the organisers of the party, the best performers would get a chance to travel with the DJ and “his tent” in upcoming shows.

The Saturday evening show, which the organisers claim is intended to uplift the music industry in Bulawayo, is slated for Stop Over Bar .

Speaking to the Southern Eye Lifestyle, DJ Spiri’s said he would put up a big tent at Stop Over Bar.

“This is the first time in Bulawayo for such a show to happen. I have decided I will put my own tent at Stop Over Bar and DJs and local artistes will perform on the day. After that l will then choose who performed best and will travel with them in the next coming gigs,” he said.

“The crowd will also assist me with DJs Emity, Smooth and Harvoc, aka Musa Ncube, in selecting the best cream. I will then travel with them with my tent,” he said, adding that he would also spin the decks on the day.

Local DJs Emity Smooth, Maxy, Tawaz, Frank and local artistes The IV and Mutji-You Know Soul will also perform during the show.

After the show at Stop Over Bar, the organisers said “The Big Tent House” would tour different townships under the banner “Kasi Tour”.

DJ Spiri’s added: “I will visit places like Nkulumane, Emganwini, Nketa and more with the artistes that performed and did well during The Big Tent House Party. The artistes will be paid for their performances.”

DJ Spiri’s said after the tour, he would then bring in an artist from South Africa into the country.

DJ Spiri’s studied music production, sound and engineering at the DJ Mix Club in South Africa.
