A 20-YEAR-OLD Pumula man allegedly kidnapped and raped his 14-year-old girlfriend after detaining her at his lodgings.

The man, who is a neighbour to the juvenile, pleaded not guilty to the charges when he appeared before West Commonage magistrate Sheunesu Matova, who remanded him out of custody to September 3 on $300 bail.
For the State, Mufaro Mageza told the court that the juvenile was abducted from her vending spot in Pumula South.
Mageza said the man dragged the girl to his house and locked her in his room where he raped her without a condom overnight.
He released her the following morning and escorted her back home.
Mageza told the court that the juvenile’s aunt had sent her younger sister to look for her at the man’s place after being alerted that they were last seen walking together.
The girl’s younger sister met her along the way with the accused and when she got home, she was asked where she had spent the night. The girl alleged that her boyfriend had dragged her to his house and raped her.
