Mikola (18) of Northend suburb released his first album as a hip-hop star, saying he was aiming to go even further as he cements the point that he wants to be one of the best artistes in Zimbabwe.

“I have realised that I am good in music and I want to grab this God-given talent to impress my audiences as well as inspire more Bulawayo artistes to believe in themselves,” Mikoes said.

The album has seven tracks, Huya, Seiko, Kumagumo, Kujairira, Takufara, Party Time and Kuzokutora.

The youngstar has in the past worked with some well-known artists like P-Salt, Dipartz and Smart.

“All that we want as musicians is to entertain our fellow Zimbabweans and make sure that they like our work,” he said.

“That is why we give ourselves time in producing the best.

“I just hope fans would like my music and I hope our local radio stations would try and play our music more often so that our audiences familiarise themselves with it.”

Mikoes told the Southern Eye that his aim was that by 2015 they would be in a better position to compete with other groups from Harare. Finances are a problem though.

“I just want people of Bulawayo to trust me and support me. In so doing they will never go wrong,” he said.

“To all aspiring musicians, never give up but always keep it original. Things will work out some day”.
