A 25-YEAR-OLD Zvishavane man was yesterday arraigned in court facing charges of indecent assault after he allegedly fondled his landlady’s breasts before damaging her property after she spurned his sexual overtures. ALLIEWAY NYONI OWN CORRESPONDENT
Alois Maitaune appeared before Zvishavane magistrate Peter Madiba for fondling Susan Machando (28)’s breasts and stoning her roof and main door.
He was remanded in custody to September 15. The State alleged that on September 9 at around 5pm, Maitaune approached Machando in her living room where she was nursing her baby and when she inquired about the purpose of his visit, he remained silent.
Maitaune is alleged to have moved closer to Machando and asked to be intimate with her before he went on to fondle her breasts.
Machando pushed Maitaune outside her house and threatened to force him out of her house as he kept on persisting to sleep with her.
She then screamed for help and Maitaune went out of the house and Machando locked him outside fearing that he might rape her since her husband was at work.
Maitaune allegedly stoned the roof and the main door angered by her rejection to quench his sexual lust. When Machando’s husband returned from work, a report was made at the Zvishavane Police Station and Maitaune was arrested.
